Doctor Visit and Fourth Round of Chemo

Thursday we went down to Auburn for the pretreatment tests. Everything came back fine, and though I'm still slightly anemic, these results were a bit better than the last round. I had a banana to up my potassium a little more, and was all set for chemo on Friday. Met Stan for some coffee and had a nice chat.

After tests we stopped by the airport and picked up a friend from Haiti who is hanging out with us for a couple weeks. The three of drove to Gig Harbour, where we had supper with a friend and stayed the night there. Nice to avoid the drive home since my chemo treatments started early Friday morning. Got all three chemos, so it was a longer day, but I could nap and visit. All of the treatments went fine, so I'm thankful. I've been feeling pretty good, and haven't had many side effects, plus Gary does pretty well at pampering me.

It was a pleasant but uneventful drive home, only saw one elk, a nice cow on the edge of town. We stopped and bought some some ripe Washington strawberries on the way, so Gary is looking forward to some with his waffles. Glad to be home again, and thankful for another round completed.

Thank you for praying, it is so appreciated.
- Marilyn (as dictated to her visiting friend Sarah)
